It's been a great summer for us here at ALPHA. So, relax and help us look back on a season of accomplishments. We added some fantastic new clients to our roster, made our way even further up on the Inc. 5000 (and we’re still climbing) and even welcomed a baby boy to the ALPHA fleet. Here we go!


 

Inbound marketing is focused on filling the top part of the sales funnel by making it easier for customers to find and engage with your company online. Marketers cannot rely on Inbound alone, however. As ALPHA CEO Steve Greene puts it, “Inbound marketing only addresses one audience, but there are at least five other audiences that need to be addressed.”

WebAssign is a unique online instruction system that enables teachers to assign and grade homework, measure student performance, and achieve their teaching goals. Because they work with so many third-party educational partners, they needed a set of official guidelines that would help define their brand and maintain its consistency.

ALPHA created a new positioning statement, a tagline, and an entire cookbook of graphic standards. In other words, we aced it.

     

 

The ThinkPad® Helix® is Lenovo’s flagship business Ultrabook™ convertible. It represents years of innovation coming together and a bold new direction for the Think brand. So to launch it, the team rightfully went all out.

Lenovo approached us for help in developing a one-of-a-kind executive kit for the top internal influencers within the organization.

The kit featured a brand new Helix® machine, a leather Lenovo-branded journal, and a beautifully designed brochure that told the story of Helix® in a captivating, yet informative way.

   

ALPHA worked with DHL Express to launch a nine-month global sales incentive campaign that empowered the sales force to tout DHL Express’s mid-weight shipping capabilities.

ALPHA was responsible for developing a unique logo, posters, e-blasts, score cards, and other campaign elements. In a very short time, this boxing-themed campaign caught on, and sales team members all around the world were vying to be the next middleweight champion.

 
Bandwidth
Bandwidth offers an easy-to-use private-label UC Voice Service and they’re looking to us to help develop a partner program from start to finish. We’re tasked with developing a partner portal where channel partners can go to learn all about UC Voice Service and access sales support tools that will help drive their business. ALPHA will also be supporting Bandwidth at an upcoming Channel event in mid-September.
Bell and Howell
Bell and Howell is a leading global provider of multi-channel communications solutions for print, Web and mobile delivery. Our Brand Realignment for them is designed to not only reflect the company's renewed focus on end-to-end solutions but also to drive traffic to their booth at the upcoming Print 13 show in Chicago. We're looking forward to a long and creative relationship with this organization as it redirects itself for the next evolution in its growth.
Truphone
More of what we do best. Truphone operates the only global mobile network that brings people closer by making international communications local. For their new channel program, we’ll create a robust Referral Partner Portal. Existing and prospective Business Partners will have a dedicated place where they can apply to be a Truphone Partner, get quick and easy access to information on products and services, and register lead opportunities. Here’s to partnerships!
 

Back on the Inc. 5000
For the second year in a row, ALPHA has made the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in America. In fact, we moved up from 2136th in 2012 to 2031st for 2013, which speaks to our continued momentum. We’re honored to be part of such an esteemed group of successful, growing companies.

Rebecca Burns, Senior Graphic Designer, and husband Jeremy welcomed their healthy and highly anticipated son into the world on June 21st. Banks Thomas Burns was
8 lbs 9 oz and is doing great!
Work Hard, Play Hard
At ALPHA, we believe teamwork and persistence is just as important outside the office as it is inside.

So after a busy and successful first quarter, we decided to have a field day (literally)! The agency spent a day at Lake Wheeler Park and enjoyed wheelbarrow races, an Iron Chef-style burger competition, corn hole, three-legged races, and many laughs.

 
Over the years, ALPHA has been passionate about our involvement in projects, causes, and organizations that help make a meaningful contribution to our community. Our most recent involvements include:

Startup High
This unique program helps prepare the next generation of business leaders by exposing high school students to local businesses and entrepreneurs. Recently, the students spent a day at our agency to gain some insight into the world of channel marketing and advertising.

In an effort to support this organization, ALPHA hosted a four-hour workshop that allowed the students to engage in discussions and focus groups and gave them the opportunity to display some of their own creativity through various hands-on exercises.


ALPHA supports the YMCA’s “We Build People”

The YMCA’s “We Build People” campaign enables kids from low-income backgrounds to receive mentoring and tutoring throughout the year as well as scholarships to participate in eight weeks of summer camp.

To take part, ALPHA and its employees donated funds to this effort to give local children the opportunity to experience a summer camp that they wouldn’t have otherwise been able to attend.
