North Carolina winters can be wildly unpredictable. It’s freezing one day and T-shirt weather the next. People are either de-icing their cars and dealing with school closings, or cranking the AC on a warm February morning. Inside the four walls of our agency, however, things have been sweltering. With barely any time to unpack after moving into our new space, we hired a new Creative Director, added a new client to our roster, launched a holiday campaign for the Glenwood South Merchants Association, and even found time for a Mardi Gras bash.

Lenovo Developers Portal
Lenovo Developer Program & Portal | ALPHA worked with Lenovo to launch
a Developer Program from the ground up. The client was looking for a way to provide developers with the tools and information they would need to develop and deploy apps optimized for Lenovo machines, which in turn would enable Lenovo to have a robust application ecosystem. ALPHA helped launch lenovodev.com, which has become the point of entry to developing for Lenovo. visit site>>

Quotes from Kringle Campaign
Glenwood South Merchants Association Holiday Campaign | As the holidays were fast approaching, we decided that one of the many ways we could give back to our community was by helping neighborhood merchants create awareness and drive traffic and dollars. “Quotes from Kringle” was a holiday-themed campaign where Kris Kringle himself personally endorsed local bars, shops and restaurants, and encouraged Triangle residents to shop local. Our creative was posted up and down Glenwood Avenue and lived on the Facebook pages of our fellow neighbors. image 1 | image 2 | image 3

Lenovo Yoga Endcaps
Yoga at Retail | Lenovo approached us to develop an endcap at retail for one of their highest-profile launches of the year: the IdeaPad® Yoga. Our eye-catching solution was prominently featured in over 957 Best Buy stores nationwide, among other retailers. One major challenge to overcome was figuring out a way to secure a demo unit of this convertible, multimode machine—yet still allow consumers to see how it flipped and folded, etc. That task also fell to us, and we worked closely with the client to create a simple, effective mounting solution.

NetApp 201
NetApp 201 | For our first project with NetApp, we designed the brand look and feel for NetApp 201, a series of events hosted with NetApp Channel Partners and designed to educate customers on emerging technologies. ALPHA created email communications that went out to the partners, incorporating the newly established look and persuasive copy to get potential attendees to the event. "The idea was to take this beyond just a simple email," says Ryan Mensch, senior project manager. "What we really wanted to do was develop a unique NetApp 201 look that could easily be extended to future events and help the company drive participation with their brand,” adds Mensch.

Dean Logan joins the team as Creative Director

We are thrilled to have Dean Logan leading our creative department. Dean, who joined ALPHA this past November, is responsible for all the creative development and management behind our work. His creativity and vast expertise, which includes more than 22 years of experience as an award-winning art director and graphic designer, not only strengthens our capabilities, but also infuses creative energy across the entire agency. As creative director at Rockett Burkhead & Winslow, MicroMass, and most recently at Mottis, Dean has a proven track record in consumer, B2B, and database-driven marketing as well as a great eye for what works. ALPHA Gives Back

We are so proud to be part of this incredible community. And although we’re a smaller company, we are committed to making meaningful contributions and being involved with projects, causes, and organizations that help our community thrive. Here are some recent ways we’ve given back:

Toys for Tots
What a wonderful organization! Toys for Tots delivers Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community. And this year, some very happy kids had wrapped presents to open on Christmas morning.

Color Me Rad

Jolene LoFrese, one of our liveliest staffers, took the initiative to organize ALPHA’s participation in this worthy race for the Special Olympics of North Carolina. A team of ALPHA employees ran this unique 5k at the Time Warner Pavilion in Cary, NC. We all started with plain white T-shirts and crossed the finish line covered head to toe in a rainbow of non-toxic colors. Here are some of the photos from race day >>
